The main page
The buttons on the main page are customizable.
This means that you may choose the functions that you often use and have a direct access to them.
The product record
The product record consists of 7 pages which you access through the tabs at the top. You have a direct access to the stock as well as the suppliers of the product. For every information, contextual menus let you add external documents, pictures or other additional data.On the first page of the product record you may paste the chemical structure (drawn with IsisDrawTM or ChemDrawTM pro). The molecular formula, the formula weight, the exact mass and the theoretical elementary analysis are automatically calculated.
The second and third pages of a product record contain tables of analyses (NMR, UV, IR, etc.). You may select types of analyses using sub-menus or define new types of analyses. You can also select many lines in the table to make global type changes.
For security information, contextual menu allows to see
the signification of the codes and to directly edit them.
From the product record there is a direct access to the stock, allowing to see if the product is in stock, when it was synthesized, who ordered it and when, etc.
You can also see the suppliers of a product and directly send an order.
The reaction record
Expereact allows full tracking of who did what and when, offers
substructure searching for reactions, use of contextual menus for standard
procedures, etc.
The reaction record consists of 3 pages (tabs near the top of the window).
On the first page you will paste the scheme and enter keywords as well
as a unique code for that particular reaction.
On the second page there is a table of reagents used in the reaction. These may come from your database of products or may be created on the spot. The name of the currently selected product automatically appears under the table. You have the choice to use various units for quantities and purity (ml, g, equiv., mmoles, loading in mmole/g....).
When you write the operating procedure in the text editor below, you
will just use the line numbers corresponding to the reagents in the table.
A contextual menu (right mouse button, on PC) helps you select the rigth
product. This menu may also let you write automatically full sentences.
On the 3rd page, each synthesized product will automatically receive a unique sample code (use the "+" button to add a line to this table). This will allow to add the physical characteristics for the sample keeping.
For each product, the purity may be added and the yield may be given in ml, g, mmoles or equiv.
